The Mobile-Tensaw Delta Map Prints are now available.

Dauphin Island Race Map

Hello Racers and enthusiasts! My name is Melissa Smith. I live in Fairhope, Alabama smack dab on Flying Creek ("Flying" is what the earlier inhabitors called it because there were actually rapids on Fly Creek way back when) I am originally from South West Florida and have lived on and around our Gulf most of my life. I created a new generation map of Mobile Bay and surrounding areas this past year. It is available on my website and through a couple of local galleries listed on When a Mobile Yacht Club member asked me to create a possible prize for the 2013 Race with my existing map I started to ponder. Mobile Bay Map – News!

The response to my newest art map project, the Mobile Bay Map, has been really great! I want to thank Tamara Ikenburg, Entertainment Reporter, for writing the nice online news article, "Fairhope Artist Map-Making Odyssey". Also, thanks to Mike Blankenship, Mobile Press and photographer for the cool photos posted in the Mobile Bay Map Photo Gallery. The word started getting out when the first article, "Melissa Smith's Hidden Geography" was published in the November 1, 2012 issue of Sense magazine. My Mobile Bay Map map art print was also featured on the front cover!
